"Had a fantastic week great location only 30/40 mins from everywhere we wanted. Finally did Helm Crag after seeing it on Wainwright`s Walks. Easdale tarn very recommended if you have kids who are not too keen, it`s very easy and a gradual walk. The girls loved walking back on the stepping stones all across the marshy fell. Ravenglass railway is a great day out and either at the start or the end there are some fantastic walks. We went to Stanly Ghylls waterfall, amazing, with a picnic on the riverbank.
